ABOUT...
A few words about what brings us together
FriendshipsLike any club, we are a group of people who gather for a common interest. In our case it is a combination of our love for Corvette, and a passion for giving back to our communities. We organize ourselves and our activities in such a way to create value that satisfies both of these passions. And while Corvettes brings us together, we stay together for the relationships and pleasure that is derived by interacting with a diverse group of personalities, and backgrounds, who take joy in making positive contributions from their passion. |
CorvettesWe love cars, but we are especially passionate about America's Sports Car! Some might even call it obsessed. And, why not? Styling, performance, luxury and heritage all born out of American dreams and ingenuity! Most of us have felt the desire to possess one from the first time we saw one and felt like a dream came true when we could afford one. It is not a car designed to achieve practicality, but it is practically the most revered nameplate to ever grace an automobile. We care for our cars, shine them up, and show them off in public. If you love Corvette, you know where we are coming from. The following link takes you to a gallery curated by or members out of love for their Corvettes. |
CommunitySpace City Corvette Club is a local organization, and we enjoy being a part of our community. Mostly located just south-east of Houston our members call the Clear Lake / Nasa area home. Dickinson, Pasadena, Sante Fe, Taylor Lake Village, Webster, League City, San Leon, Pearland, Kemah, and others are a part of our community, but our official club address is in Friendswood Texas. Our "home" car show turf is Stevenson Park and we proudly participate in the Independance Day Parade in this community. We do our best to support local retail business, professional services and restaurants. Many of them support us as well as sponsors to our events. We also consider ourselves a vibrant part of the Corvette community. We are active supporters of the National Corvette Museum. |
Greater GoodThis is the essence of who we are as a club. Driving around in a cool car simply to call attention to oneself is vanity. Using your good fortune and relationships to benefit those in your community is rewarding and inspiring. Our mission is to use our organized events to raise money for 501c3 charitable organizations. With currently fewer than 200 members, we are very effective fundraiser. In the past year we contributed $98,000 to Texas EquuSearch, $52,000 to the National Corvette Museum (memberships, raffles, and donations), $3,500 to St, Jude's and $2,500 for a UTMB Fellowship. Additionally, we recognize an outstanding club member for their community service with the Ambassador's Cup. |
If you are a Corvette owner desiring an opportunity to make a positive impact on your community, we welcome you to join us. Also, if you are someone who wants to contribute to our community programs by sponsoring our events, we are grateful and will proudly promote you as a local community supporter. |
